Happy New Year! Our last treatment is over, which became part of the confirmations we've received over time about adopting from C*a. In January we met with our wonderful RE, who sat down with us and discussed several options. We spent a couple of weeks talking and praying, revisiting a common theme of 2011...Having reached a fork in the road, where the next treatment would be more extensive and impede adoption, what path would we take? Before, we had said we would adopt, but here was where the rubber met the road. We both knew within a week or so, and I love that we both knew! So with God's help, we are Geauxing East! Well, wouldn't it be nice if it were so easy, anyway? This is often described as a super-long pregnancy- a hurry-up-and-wait time when you feel expectant, excited, anxious, peaceful, stressful, joyful....
It has to be said: God met us at ground zero and gently demanded even this stronghold, until our tenderly laid plans were placed- and finally left!- in His trustworthy hands. Our plans were too small.
It will be a busy year- a fun year I hope, since we are full steam ahead! And my sister, the youngest, is engaged....so there will be a wedding, too!
